Beat the Champ is a community-driven bowling tournament series created to give local league bowlers an affordable, exciting, and professionally organized competitive experience. Hosted at Mario’s Bowl and operated by MarX ProShop, the series brings together bowlers of different ages, skill levels, and backgrounds through regular qualifying, monthly events, and a season-ending Grand Finals. Our focus is on participation, sportsmanship, friendly competition, and creating memorable opportunities for Thunder Bay’s bowling community.

The series is operated on a nonprofit basis, with event revenue directed back into prize funds, promotion, tournament presentation, and the overall participant experience. As Beat the Champ continues to grow, it provides a positive platform for local organizations to connect with an engaged community while supporting recreation, participation, and a competitive event built around Thunder Bay bowlers.
